Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
Proper care ensures your tattoo heals beautifully
- Keep your bandage on as instructed
- Wear loose clothing
- Wash hands before touching tattoo
- Clean gently using hands only
- Use hypoallergenic, unscented soap
- Do not let water hit tattoo directly
- Air dry only
- Apply thin layer of ointment 3–4 times daily
- Avoid soaking, including swimming and baths
- Excessive bleeding or drainage
- Severe pain or swelling
- Skin hot to touch
- Fever 101°F+
- Wash tattoo daily
- Scabs will form — do not pick
- Expect mild redness and itching
- Always wash hands before touching
- Continue gentle washing
- Moisturize more if itchy
- Protect from sun and water
- Keep moisturizing
- Continue sun protection
- Safe to expose to sun after proper healing
- Use sunscreen regularly
- Keep skin hydrated
- Use fragrance-free lotion
- Avoid water and sun for 4 weeks
